The Waterlot, Bermuda's iconic dining destination, is set to reopen its doors on Wednesday, December 4th. Executive Chef Hamish Lindsay brings global culinary expertise with a focus on flavors that embody the island’s spirit—think local ingredients reimagined in dishes like the Bermuda Chowder Tortellini and the signature Surf & Turf featuring vanilla-poached Bermuda lobster. Maître D' Barry Cohen, returning with a passion for warm, memorable service, has curated an atmosphere where every visit feels like a celebration, whether a milestone or an everyday escape.

The Waterlot now invites guests to revel in life's simple joys as well as grand occasions. With a welcoming ambiance, this is a place to gather, connect, and savor Bermuda’s culinary heritage. The GIRLZ thoroughly enjoyed the night, from arrival to departure. The courses were perfectly proportioned. Sides served to share, is a great option for larger groups - we were 8. High Tea in a Glass was a major hit with the gin aficionado in our group. Looking forward to returning soon.

The Waterlot in Southampton Bermuda has undergone a beautiful restoration. This landmark Bermuda restaurant closed shortly after the pandemic and reopened in December, 2024.. I've dined there many times in the past, but our first trip back after the brief hiatus was a culinary delight. The restaurant itself has kept faithful to old-fashioned charm and elegance that has been the norm here for a few hundred years. The food was impeccable (make sure you have the seafood bouillabaisse- it is an appetizer, but could have been served as a full meal). I ordered the surf and turf and the lobster tail which had been poached in vanilla was outstanding. The wait staff were friendly and it is obvious that they are proud of the establishment. The maître d'hôtel, Barry Cohen, greets every diner personally and assures that everything is just perfect. The Waterlot is truly a five-star dining experience which should not be missed.

We had a fantastic evening last night. Whether it was because of the festive season, the excellent service, the fantastic food, the old world charm of the Waterlot, or the great company it's hard to say?! The waterlot always delivers a great experience. The staff were very attentive and it was obvious that they were well trained. There was nothing surprising about the menu, it was consistently good. I will definitely go again.

Wow! While this certainly is an expensive dining choice, it is well worth it! My friend and I concluded a week's stay in Bermuda at this restaurant and we couldn't have been happier. Exceptional service (thanks, Christian!), beautiful rooms and overall ambience, and wonderful food. We both started with the Bermuda fish chowder, which was delicious - dark, flavorful and full of small bites of fish. We then had the three choicer - where you can select three smaller portions of the menu items. Mine was seared yellow-fin tuna, a crab cake, and ribeye - all cooked to perfection and so flavorful. This is an a la carte restaurant and we selected the sides of creamed spinach and bourbon sweet potatoes - both of which were exceptional and plenty for 2 or even 3 people. We capped it all off with the Date Pudding with Caramel Sauce and the Snicker dessert and some Bermuda coffee! It was all terrific and we will definitely go back on our next trip to that beautiful island!!

It was the epitome of Bermuda hospitality and service. Highly recommend the truffle mac and cheese, mushroom medley, lamb rack.
