Live Jazz at the Whitby Bar is returning every Friday night from 6pm to 9pm. Enjoy classic Negroni cocktails as you listen to live jazz music from The Sam Taylor Trio.

For our Afternoon Tea service, please book via Open Table through the EXPERIENCE option. To confirm your afternoon tea reservation, we require a credit card for our cancellation policy. Should you cancel within 24 hours of the booking, a $50/pp cancellation fee will incur.

The Whitby Bar and Restaurant, inside The Whitby Hotel located in the heart of upper Midtown, offers modern American food in a uniquely eclectic setting. Open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

    Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an unforgettable dining experience at The Whitby Bar. Indulge in a specially curated menu featuring exquisite dishes such as Scottish smoked salmon blinis with Petrossian Tsar Imperial Ossetra caviar, butter poached Maine lobster with red beet gnocchi, and Moroccan spiced Colorado lamb loin. End the evening with decadent desserts like passionfruit pavlova or Mont Blanc tart. Enjoy it all with a glass of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé to set the mood. $195 per person. Reservations are essential for this romantic culinary journey. The price does not include tax or a 20% gratuity.

    Join us at The Whitby Bar for a delicious Afternoon Tea served in the colorful restaurant or the elegant Orangery. Served on Kit Kemp's beautiful Sailor's Farewell Wedgwood china, enjoy delectable finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon mousse, Egg salad & Truffles, selection of mouthwatering cakes and homemade scones with clotted cream and preserves. $75 per person or $95 including a glass of Joseph Perrier. Afternoon Tea service reservations are booked through the experience. We ask you to cancel your reservation by 10pm the day prior. We have a 5 minute grace period in case you are running late. Please call 646-928-4207 If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Special requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

                                      This is a decent afternoon tea but not the best in the city. Disappointing they don't do sandwich refills. Some of the desserts were an odd choice - like pumpkin pie. Service was super friendly.

                                      Lovely afternoon tea in a fabulous hotel - we loved it! Annie, our waitress, was absolutely lovely, warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The two ladies who greeted us on arrival for the afternoon tea were less friendly and welcoming. Lovely food though - well done Whitby!
