The White Oak is a contemporary Michelin rated pub and restaurant in the heart of Cookham in Berkshire.

Taking hospitality back to it's roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team, gastronomic experiences showcasing outstanding suppliers and produce but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

The White Oak prides itself on offering a diverse selection of wines, beers, cask ales and ciders. Our carefully selected wine list offers an accessible range of bottles to suit all tastes and dishes and don't worry if you are driving, we have an extensive lo and no alcohol list too.

There is a large garden and terrace which is covered and has heaters, with dining pods for the perfect unique dining experience. There is ample parking and dogs are very welcome in the bar.

Amazing food at The White Oak, a nicely refurnished pub, only lacking a roaring fire on a freezing cold night. The main fish fish was sublime and the chocolate mousse was perfectly balanced and flavoured. Really friendly and attentive service topped it off; we’ll definitely be back!

The service really let down our lunch today. We never received our starters and there was no apology about this. The staff were just not on the ball. The mains were ok. There were a few cold elements which should have been warm to accompany hot food. Overall very average.

We went early, 6pm on Saturday, so was relatively quiet - which was great. Food including pb choices and service excellent as always

Excellent lunch for 4 including one coeliac. Good adjustments for coeliac menu options. Top quality food, great service.

We had the Sunday roast which was delicious. The only complaint was that it arrived less than 5 minutes after ordering which was too quick especially considering we’d purchased a pre-dinner drink
