The Windham Restaurant is proud to occupy one of Windham’s most significant historical sites. First operated as a farm in 1729, the present Colonial style house was built in 1812 and was extensively restored at the turn of this century. The Windham Restaurant features elements that are rustic, romantic and relaxed, including working fireplaces in our bar and first floor dining area. The decor complements the historic character of the building with a few carefully selected modern elements to create a distinctive dining experience. The atmosphere at The Windham Restaurant is as inviting as the seasonally inspired menus. Dine in one of our intimate rooms with candle-lit tables, enjoy your favorite cocktail at the bar or join us on the patio during the summer months. We pride ourselves on a proven menu and eclectic cocktails!

We had 830 reservations at the Windham. We got there right at 830 and had to wait like 10 mins for a table. Then this young kid (looked 12) took us upstairs to this pretty small room and sat us in the middle of the room at a table . The room had about 10 tables in and they were so close together you could literally hear the conversation next to you . And everyone was whispering. It was kind of awkward. So right after sitting down, we were approached by a man who introduced himself as the owner . Told us we were seated there mistakenly and we had to move to another table in a different room . He said he would buy us 2 drinks each to compensate. So we were fine with that. So then we get to our new seat, wait about 10 mins for a drink. And order after another 10 mins. We ordered a charcuterie board. It took so long to come . Like 45 mins. Everyone kept apologizing and saying “they’ll check on it” . Finally we get it at 915 and the entire board is stale and inedible. The cheese was so hard. It as like rubber. So my husband gets up and calls over the hostess who proceeds to tell us that she thinks we got the appetizer that was “ on display”. I was horrified! The owner came back over apologizing and we pretty much had had enough. He brought us a new appetizer but we just sent it back. We just wanted our food . It was after 930 now. So after another 10 mins of waiting , we just got up and left.

We take full responsibility for this and sincerely apologize for what you experienced. There was miscommunication between staff and this should never have happened. Requested that the guest contact us so that we can fix this. We strive to provide quality food and service and in this case we missed the mark completely and have addressed this with the staff who was involved.

I enjoyed the experience. I will be going back when the whole menu is available. I never saw that a limited menu was all that was available. My wife ordered a meal that didn't have a protein, she asked for some grilled chicken to be added , which was available for salad, but was denied. I thought that was too rigid. Our server was great. I wish that a drink menu was provided. As I said at the beginning I will try again on a normal day. Joe Simone

Reached out to guest who is correct, there is no reason why they should not have been allowed to add the grilled chicken. We look forward to welcoming the guest back and addressing this personally.

The Windham is a favorite restaurant of ours! It’s relaxed, a fun atmosphere, everyone is so accommodating, and the food is plentiful and delicious! We’ll be back!!

I got a scallop dish it was to sweet and the scallops very tough to chew Steak tips were tough my sister ordered Disappointed in the dinners

We strive to provide quality food and service and there are unfortunately times where mistakes do happen and I sincerely apologize that this guest got meals that were poorly prepared. Contacted her directly so that we can address this.

The service was great and the food was delicious. Portions were so big. We always took some home.

Nice place with an excellent food. The staff is also really friendly! They have live music. So, in case you go with kids, it’s better to know there will be a little bit of noise. I recommend it 100%

Where do I start. I’ll just give a generic review. The service was slow and inattentive. The food was awful, inconsistent and tasteless. The restaurant is dirty and loud.

Reached out to customer to address concerns. We pride ourselves on quality food and service. We clean and mop the restaurant multiple times a day so trying to understand concerns on this regard also.

Mashed potatoes were cold, chicken parm too much breading and pasta over cooked. It was ok. Probably won’t be back

Reached out to customer directly to address concerns. We always have a manager or owner present to address customer concerns as soon as they occur but were not made aware of these concerns. We hand bread and make chicken parm to order and pasta / mashed potatoes are made to order so reviewed feedback with kitchen to ensure this does not happen.
