We booked Tide and Tales for our first night in North Rustico primarily because you could reserve on Open Table and we didn’t know the area. The operation seemed really quite amateurish considering they had some good reviews. We ordered 8oz glasses of wine that came in colored water tumblers and the red was sweetish and the so called Sauvignon Blanc was undrinkable, and I’m not a wine snob. Fish and chips was overcooked - too crispy, dry. We ordered a salad the share as a starter, it was good but came in one big bowl as a side with dinner. Cute location but they should get more professional or stick with breakfast and lunch.

Was looking forward to this dinner as it sounds Ed Like a great place. Unfortunately we waited a long time to order and another long wait for the food. Meal was ok not great. Loved the pretty glasses and dishes but he service was not friendly or welcoming.

We had a lovely dinner at Tides and Tales Bistro and Bookstore. This coffee house has expanded their menu to include dinner options. The menu is varied and includes a wide variety of choices. We finally chose the Avacado Citrus Salad, that was large and garnished with many slices of avocado, and the Beer Battered Fish and Chips that were prepared perfectly. We really appreciated being able to book our reservation online, rather than joining a waitlist, as is the case with other restaurants on the busy North Rustico Harbour. We also appreciated its quiet atmosphere, so close to the Watermark Theatre.
