As they say "What's one's man's food is another man's poison!" This statement truly depicts our experience at Tierra. Thirty minutes after we were first seated did the waitress arrive to take drink orders. I had to go complain to the manager that we'd been there for 30 minutes and still didn't have our drinks. This, by the way was my son's birthday and having read people's great reviews on this very sub standard restaurant, I decided to take my din there to celebrate. When our margaritas finally arrived, I'd give presentation a 4, mixing 1. I mean we got the most bland, watered down margaritas I've ever tasted. The manager agreed to replace them. Perhaps I'd give the replacements a 3 with a push. We put in the order. The guacamole with shrimp was certainly nothing to write home about. Nor, quite frankly were the beef croquettes. This place prides itself on presentation not on taste. We ordered the short rib and the chicken. Minute portions for the price arrived at the table not depicting what we'd read in the menu. The chicken was supposed to be served with roasted corn and string beans. The corn was absent as for the string beans we were told that the tasteless, watered down black beans were the string beans. The short rib albeit very tender was tasteless. I'd venture to say so way the chicken. Throughout the meal the service was disappointing and the manager has to fill in for our waitress's deficiency's. Shes have done far better at a fast food establishment, not what was represented as a high end eating establishment. Finally, my son's birthday treat compliments of the house in lieu of our very negative dining experience arrived. It was mushy cheesecake which neither of us enjoyed nor chose to finish. The bill came to just under two hundred dollars. Both my son and I are foodies and have eaten both locally, nationally, and internationally. Suffice it to say that this was undoubtedly one of our worst dining experiences! I'm suggesting a big NO on this place!
