You’ve never seen anything like this extravagantly decorated tiki-bar funhouse from Tatsu
Aikawa and the team behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Kemuri Tatsu-Ya and dipdipdip Tatsu-Ya.

Recently named one of the 40 best bars in Austin by Statesman critic Matthew Odam, Tiki
Tatsu-Ya is disguised by a fake travel company on the outside, but stepping in, you’re
immediately transported to another world. The riotous colors, sound effects and over-the-top
tropical cocktails in custom mugs and glasses feel like an island vacation or 21+ Disneyland.
Shareable drinks come with fire shows, and even the food far surpasses typical bar fare with
mouthwatering dishes like Spam Musubi, Crab Lagoon, Kalua Pork and the Pu Pu Platter, which
shouldn’t be missed. Reservations are recommended.

    Such a great ambiance, it really immerses you in the “tiki” experience. The drinks come with a show of their own which I wasn’t expecting so it was fun to see. The food was delicious. Me and my partner shared the “Pu Pu Platter” which we rated 10/10. Drinks 10/10 as well 🙌🏻

    What a cool spot! Start out with one of the group drinks while you decide on your own. Food was great and servers were very knowledgeable. This will not be my last trip! Pro tip: the group drinks are hidden under a menu flap. Thank me later

    HORRIBLE experience. I can't believe I just spent $100 here to be completely disrespected the way I just was. I spent over a $100 for one appetizer, two MICROSCOPIC tapas because that's all they serve here, and two drinks a piece between me and THE PERSON WHO'S BIRTHDAY IT WAS. We got TOTALLY ignored for an upcoming* party of six (like really?), the table next to us gets a free butter mochi for their birthday person, meanwhile we get checked out early when we weren't even done because a more important part of six is coming in that my waitress is just too busy and overwhelmed with. I can't express how disrespected we feel. I'll never come back and tell everyone to stay away, which should be really easy since there is absolutely zero parking either.

    We had a fantastic time! It was a lot of fun. Great food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. I highly recommend the experience. We’ll certainly be back for more fun!!
