Tokyo Wako in Arcadia has presented customers with traditional Japanese table cooking for well over 20 years. If you want a show with your meal, the teppanyaki style used to prepare your food will fit the bill.

Fortunately, Tokyo Wako also has a fantastic menu that won't disappoint. This includes the sauces used for the teppanyaki and sushi, which are all handmade. Try the shrimp tempura, beef sashimi, garlic edamame or the truffle butter edamame. If you like seafood, Tokyo Wako has an amazing deep-friend squid and deep-fried soft shell crab that you'll love. There is even a tempura ice cream here; you can choose between vanilla and green tea.

We celebrated my daughter's birthday, we had a great time! Food was perfect, show was good and great customer service, all right reasons why we keep coming back!

Everything was great except I was a little annoyed at the end because I had told the server we were celebrating a birthday and they never showed up with any dessert at the end of the meal.

The overall experience wasn’t that great, it was fast. The food wasn’t very tasteful, not seasoned well. The chef barely spoke and for the price that you pay I just don’t feel it was worth it. I’ve been to much better Teppan steakhouses and haven’t been to Tokyo Wako in a long time, So I figured I would give it a try. We took my daughter for her birthday and I have to say I would not be going back there. I was hoping it would be a better experience.

Tokyo Wako is one of our favorite restaurants. They have excellent teppanyaki, our favorite fried rice, and friendly prompt attentive service. We always have an enjoyable meal here.

We went for a birthday celebration and had a great time. We got seated quickly and our cook was friendly. Food was good, portion size was not as expected but we will for-sure be ordering more next time!

Made a reservation and still had to wait although place was essentially empty. Server seemed unhappy and food was not as good as usual; it was unseasoned and bland. Usually good food and great service. Not sure what happened yesterday.
