Tonkotsu on Mare Street is a delicious spot in Hackney serving authentic, umami-rich Japanese ramen to the crowd in East London. With multiple locations around the city, Tonkotsu has made a name for itself as the type of restaurant who shows great attention to detail. From their signature stock made from scratch every morning, to the handmade fresh noodles cooked for 32 seconds, the craft behind Tonkotsu Mare Street is clearly evident. The menu features classic ramens like tonkotsu pork and Tokyo-style, as well as chilled hiyashi ramen salads and moreish sides. The homemade gyoza are not to be missed! You’ll find this Mare Street restaurant a close walk from Hackney Central station. The dining space is modern and the atmosphere is laid back, making it a good choice for lunch, dinner or an afternoon feast.

Food was good, service was slow at first but when we told waitress we were in a hurry food arrived quickly. The place was a bit lacking in atmosphere and music was too loud but we enjoyed our meal And wd return

Great place for a lunch or dinner. Good service and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone daring enough to try some japanese cuisine.
