Burma (modernized name - Myanmar) is a Southeast Asian country about the size of Texas, tucked between India and China, is a home to various ethnic tribes, a melting pot of beautiful cultures. When it comes to taste-buds tingling cuisines, Burma has a lot to offer.

It has been a passionate dream for Burma-born owners Kalvin and Poe to open a Burmese restaurant to be able to share their culinary culture. That dream came true in 2019 when Top Burmese opened as a virtual takeout only restaurant from a commissary kitchen in NW Portland.

Due to its authenticity, made to order, home-style cooking, and Burmese hospitality, Top Burmese traditional and modern Burmese dishes became so popular effectively evangelizing the masses to become Burmese Food fans.

Today Top Burmese serves its amazing dishes via various Burma themed restaurants.

    We had the curry feast. Delicious. Loved it all. Also samosas and the desserts. Will definitely return.

    Enjoyed a great Sunday nite dinner following the matinee at HART Theater. The food and service were great as always, and the music was at a pleasantly low volume so we were able to converse comfortably, a real rarity I today’s noisy echo-chamber restaurants. Love the robots!

    Sadly was not a good day to try for the first time, but everyone in our small group agreed it’s probably like this most of the time. There were only two servers, the kitchen staff and customers waiting to be seated. (We got there for our reservation on time with an extra 5 mins prior) still had to wait about 20 minutes to just say we had the reservation, There were tons of tables that were not cleaned (/silverware/drinks) that the previous goer left, When deciding I asked for more info on a dish and at first the server was not too informing then opened up and detailed it more (which was good for a food risk member in the group) After that the food took quite long to be done, and when it was the order was missing the main dish for one of us, unfortunately 2 in our group turned out to suffer stomach pains after this outing. Overall, in my opinion lack of actual staff (instead using robot busser’s) is a big gap on quality. It would improve a lot with more staff and details about their dishes on the menu.

    What a lovely evening ! Our server answered all our questions and guided us based on our likes. The food was perfection. Each ingredient stood alone and contributed to the whole. The chicken noodles was beautiful with all ingredients displayed. Mixed today her it was magical. The fresh vegetables were perfectly ripe and respected in their medley. The sweet paratha with its toasty flavor paired well with the coconut ice cream. Drinks were great! Decor is stunning! We loved it.
