We had a reservation for two. We were taken in very promptly and seated at the high table, which was fine. Our server was Selma #711. At first, she was OK until our coffee came. I ordered a Cuban coffee under her suggestion. The Cuban coffee had sugar in it already which typically a Cuban coffee does not come with sugar. You have to put your own. But this one came with sugar, and I felt like I needed another. Well the person that dropped the coffee on our table, just dropped it and ran. It took us a while to find someone to ask for sugar, so I asked one person for sugar and then we see our server and I asked her for sugar. She proceeds to question me as to why I needed sugar, and I told her I needed sugar. She brings the sugar, but then questions me again and says.” we actually put sugar in it. Did you taste it?” Well it’s not your concern whether I tasted it or not - I wanted sugar. otherwise I wouldn’t have asked for sugar and that completely put me off. The other thing was I wanted very little onions, peppers, and tomatoes in my scrambled eggs. I specified three times that I only wanted very little of those three items. Well of course that wasn’t adhered to, and when I told her she just smiled. Perhaps she said I’m sorry I don’t even remember, but that didn’t help me at all. Because it looks like they don’t pay attention , they just want to serve your food and have you get out of there at some point so to me we have to ask for everything, ketchup, sugar, whatever . they just don’t have that on the table. you ask. I don’t know if they feel like you’re going to steal it, but I’ve never been to a place where typically you don’t have the basic condiments on the table. Plus, it’s served with a little bit of attitude and I don’t appreciate it. My friend actually treated me today and I asked her to please only give the server 15% because I feel like she didn’t deserve more. I recommend the place. Every experience is different.
