Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

    As part of this experience, enjoy a 3-course menu with your choice of an entrée, a main, and a dessert/cheese from our a la carte menu. Dinner reservations will be allocated a 2-hour seating time. I you are wanting a quick meal of one or two courses, the à la carte menu is only available for lunch or early dinner reservations (starting from 5:00 - 5:30 pm with a 1.5-hour sitting time). Please contact the restaurant directly for enquiries regarding this option.

    “If you’re seeking an authentic Italian dining experience where exceptional food quality is perfectly matched with outstanding service, look no further. Here, you’ll find the care, attention, and warmth that only truly passionate staff can deliver. Last night, we celebrated a special occasion and a significant milestone in our lives, and this was the perfect place to honor our success. As someone who’s a fussy Italian and has tried them all, I can confidently say this is the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne. Buon appetito!

    Absolutely amazing. The staff were so helpful and the five course meal was worth every cent. Beautiful restaurant and honestly some of the best food i have ever had.

    Food was art, tasty and an experience, wait staff were always helpful and willing to help, I stuffed up my booking and made it for 2pm when it should have been midday, I turn up at midday and they moved turns around to accommodate. Much appreciated so thank you for making my partners 50th something we can talk about as he loved it also.

    Amazing place, we had my fiancé birthday dinner there, food was absolutely amazing, very attentive service in a cool and traditional Italian atmosphere. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
