Re: the cheese wheel experience: they don’t have truffle because “it’s too expensive right now” and won’t tell you until after the fact— when the truffle is the whole point of the price point. Servers won’t communicate they are offering free protein in lieu of the truffle, so if you don’t order protein, you’re essentially paying $36 for plain, regular (very mid) cacio e pepe.

We made reservations for the table side pasta and initially had to change tables because we were seated behind tables where the table side could not reach us. We requested to be moved and then we were seated at the table next to the entry door. Normally this would have been fine but it is abnormally chilly in Atlanta currently. So each time the door opened, we were freezing. The restaurant was not packed, so it didn’t make sense as to why were seated by the door. The Bread was not initially served until well after we had changed tables and when it showed up it was served to us cold, as if it were just taken out of a refrigerator. We informed the staff, all of which were very lovely and accommodating. Not our favorite place and we will most likely not return. For the price $120 for 2 people to eat dinner, they should be better.

Very happy with the service and ambiance, great food to boot. The veal parmigiana was excellent - very tender, not overly breaded. Cacio e pepe was spot on. Truly excellent and charming service from Sheena E - but not that Sheena E.....

Unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. The whipped ricotta was delicious but the entrees were all cold. In addition, the butternut squash tortellini was a very small portion. Tortellinis were cold as well as the sauce on the plate. Daughter found a hair in her cappuccino which was not a good ending to the experience. We have been there before and the food was far better versus this time.

Our first visit. This was very convenient, tasty, different (for us) and affordable. The food, beverages and service were suburb. I ordered a newly discovered cocktail, The Godfather, and the bartender came to the table, indicated he had heard of it before and then asked what ratio I preferred between the bourbon and Amaretto. For dinner, I had the special, a Wild Boar Lasagna w/ sweet potato "pasta," which was excellent, while my wife went light with a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Even the bread was a couple notches above what we normally are served and the croutons on the salad, some of the best we've ever tasted, were made from it (better than cornbread croutons but just as light). The portions were plentiful and the leftovers will be enjoyed tomorrow! Throughout, the staff were very attentive, including the manager and owner. Even the valet was prompt in bringing our car to the front door. The meal and beverages cost less than $100 and considered the quality of the food and service, it was a bargain.

New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be the same without the yummy and wonderful vibe of Tre Vele. Our third year in a row. Nicely done!

We had trouble making reservations through Open Table for New Year’s Eve. We selected that we wanted to try to table-side cacio e pepe experience when we made the reservation (about a week ahead of time), then the restaurant called on the afternoon of our reservation to tell us the couldn’t seat us in that area of the house, so we could not actually have that experience. We found another reservation time through Open Table for the same day, but an earlier time, and changed our booking. Meal was great but we kind of expected the chef to tell us about the process or the ingredients or something. Instead he just stood there silently, mixed it up, plated it, and pushed his wheeled cart back to the kitchen. So it was good but less of an “experience” than as they market it. Would still recommend but not quite what we thought we were going to get.
