Tribute is a unique restaurant located on the Halifax Waterfront. Defined not by a specific cuisine, but by a place - Nova Scotia - Tribute sources the best local ingredients to pay homage to authentic, impactful dishes with international influences, showcased through live fire and charcoal cookery in an open kitchen-to-dining room. With a fun and elevated approach to East Coast hospitality, Tribute is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, offering a chef’s tasting menu and wider options a la carte, paired with nimble wine and cocktail lists. Menus will change often to highlight seasonal ingredients from Nova Scotian farmers and producers.

We had the tasting menu. Every meal was incredible. The pasta was amazing. Chicken was also great. Excellent addition to the Halifax restaurant scene.

Fantastic from start to finish. Flavours and dishes that are new to Halifax, all delicious. One of my new favourite spots in the city. The lasagna and butter cake especially were incredible.

Wow, just wow! This was my first time trying Chef Colin’s food and it certainly won’t be my last!! The steak cooked on the open fire had such a depth of flavour, and the handmade pasta was a highlight of the meal! Finally, finished off the meal with the ooey gooey cake, that truly couldn’t believe was gluten free. Fabulous service, lovely atmosphere and overall fantastic meal. We will be back!

Excellent service with team approach. Nice menu with some flexibility to deal with dietary restrictions. Already feels like a local favourite even though only opened 3 weeks ago

This was far and away the best restaurant experience I have had this year in Halifax. Every aspect of dinner service was expertly executed. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The menu was interesting and varied. The vibe was hip. A great restaurant that got it right,right out of the gate!

The food was buying large good. My wife’s halibut was slightly cooler than it should have been, everything else was great. The only big issue was the fact that the place was so noisy you couldn’t hear anyone talk and the waiters practically had to shout. Too bad. Nice otherwise.

The experience was overall faultless. We were greeted by two very pleasant hosts, the servers never missed a chance to fill up a glass of water or top up the wine. The servers worked seamlessly and the food was extraordinary. Each component of the meal was clearly worked on meticulously. It surpassed my expectations and then some

We had a fabulous meal. We had the tuna appetizer which was devine followed by the delicious lasagne. The butter cake for desert was insanely yummy!

During our visit we had the house bread, squash triangoli, Tortelli di San Valentino, beef cheek, and then the peach gooey cake for desert and everything was absolutely divine. Our server, Peter, was prompt, informative and comically witty. Ambience was cozy, was cool to see the chefs working in an open design, and the music was up beat. Really enjoyed our experience and I cannot wait to be back. Oh yeah and the drinks were incredible too.
