Tribute is a unique restaurant located on the Halifax Waterfront. Defined not by a specific cuisine, but by a place - Nova Scotia - Tribute sources the best local ingredients to pay homage to authentic, impactful dishes with international influences, showcased through live fire and charcoal cookery in an open kitchen-to-dining room. With a fun and elevated approach to East Coast hospitality, Tribute is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, offering a chef’s tasting menu and wider options a la carte, paired with nimble wine and cocktail lists. Menus will change often to highlight seasonal ingredients from Nova Scotian farmers and producers.

    Tribute was too expensive, the food portions were small and the music was loud and annoying. However the staff were very attentive and service was great. We tried 2 dishes - a very good chicken and an inedible (awful tasting, it might have been spoiled) lasagna. I mentioned the bad lasagna and the staff took the price off our bill.

    First time and we sat at the counter which was nice to watch the kitchen in action. Food was great and service was even better. 2 hosts and our waitress could not have been nicer to us. We stayed longer and they were very accommodating to us even on a busy Friday night. I would highly recommend.

    It was truly an outstanding dining experience. Food was divine, staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the restaurant was a great atmosphere. Love the bar and counter seating. I look forward to our next visit!
