True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers. Expand your palate with our Edamame Dumplings, grab a bite of comfort food with our Grass-fed Burger or Lasagna Bolognese, or enjoy lighter fare with our O.G. Tuscan Kale Salad with Grilled Sustainable Salmon. Regardless of the occasion, we know our Hackensack guests leave feeling energized, satisfied and most importantly, feeling great. Good food. But the value proposition is a bit off. My advice to the venue is to reduce prices. It’s a Mall Restaurant after all.

The kitchen was very responsive when asked to make omissions and substitutions with a customer who has multiple food allergies.

I’ve been here many times and it’s always an enjoyable meal with fresh and flavorful food. Service is generally very good (one server on a prior visit was a little less than friendly) with my favorite being Jesse who waited on my daughter and I today as well as a couple of other times before.

Food was excellent but our server was inattentive and took a long time to get us water. Love the place but sometimes you don’t get a great server

True Food is my favorite, go-to restaurant! The food is SO delicious, and I love that they don't use any seed oils. My kids love going here too. Every time I eat there, I can't wait to go back. The service is always super nice too!
