True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Join us in San Diego for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. Located in San Diego at Westfield UTC center in The Pointe, next to Soul Cycle in the Nordstrom wing. Food was great, our daughter is GF and she loves all the options. Our server, Geo, was very user friendly and had great suggestions.

Food was ok, but the service was beyond slow. The cushion on the seat in the booth I was sitting in was a sinkhole. Two meals came out eventually, but we had to wait 10 minutes for our third. Then they forgot the salad that went with the third meal, and another lengthy delay. I like Tru Foods, but sorry this location is sub-par.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and it’s has never disappointed, love the healthy but flavorful options and their lemon and ginger tea is to die for.

Wonderful service!! Salmon was very good but barely any rice on the dish, and a screaming baby close by but hard to control that issue. 😂

I love True Food though often find it a little pricey. But the food is healthy and delicious. However, we had the new lunch special with a wrap and half a soup or salad and a non-alcoholic spritzer for $19.95. The soup, salad and spritzers were very good but the wraps were underwhelming. Dry with a thick, hard whole wheat pita wrapping basically a salad, so I would not recommend them. We told our waiter and hopefully he expressed our disappointment to the chef. However, we will return as generally we are very happy with the food, service and ambiance, though both SD locations can be loud at times.
