Truth Midtown Restaurant & Lounge is located in West Midtown and offers a range of Soul Tapas + Small Plates and Entree's packed with flavor and curated by Chef Maya. Our signature dishes include our Seoul Rolls, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Fried Salmon Sliders and of course our Crispy Truth Wings. Brought my best friend here for her birthday sections were reasonably priced and they were very efficient and with everything we asked for. Would definitely do again!!! Thank you guys!!!!

This was my first time at a lounge and to be honest, I only enjoyed the live entertainment, the drinks, and the spinach dip. I don't do hookah and I don't smoke.

The positives: I will say that the soul food was excellent. It is made to order so it is pipping hot and taste delicious The waiter was courteous and prompt. The negatives: When we arrived we had to pay $5 to the valet who had us park our own car We arrived early for our 5:00 reservation on Mother’s Day and were told that the kitchen closed at 5:00. We had 10 minutes to order our food. If that’s the case, why were we allowed to make a 5:00 reservation. The restaurant closes at 6:00 on Sundays and we did not know that. So As far as the ambience that everyone is speaking about, this is a club/ lounge at best. It’s dark like a club and decorated poorly like a hole in the wall club from The 90’s at beat. So do not go here thinking that it’s a nice sit down restaurant because it’s not Finally, it would great for Uber eats or catering because the food is wonderful as I’ve mentioned. The best chicken and waffles any of us had ever had!

Loved our server! She was great especially being one of the 2-3 servers that they had that morning. She was nice, energetic and timely. On the other hand, our food was cold and I mean no steam and not hot to touch. Everyone’s plate came out at different times and they were all cold. I ordered the catfish and Mac and cheese. The catfish tasted fishy with no seasoning, just breading and the mac and cheese wasn’t cheesy at all and had too much garlic powder in it, so ended up not finishing it, even though we were drinking. I got 2 free mimosas for my birthday which was so nice! Atmosphere was nice and clean. Over all I would give it a 6/10.
