   So enjoyed our supper at the Tuck Shop. Food was amazing. Grilled Octopus , Salmon and Hanger steak were so well prepared as well as the presentation. Don’t miss the desserts-flourless chocolate cake, flan and lemon tart. Wonderful service and great ambiance.

   Food was very good, service was good. My only piece of improvement would be that we indicated it was a birthday and confirmed with our server that they received the note, and there was no small dessert or anything provided to make the occasion special. If you are unable to offer this as a service that’s fine, but maybe provide an option online when reserving to request a piece of dessert with a candle at a fixed rate, as we would have chosen to do that to surprise our birthday goer.

   All of our dishes and drinks were amazing, the service attentive, and sitting at the counter was really a unique experience! We will definitely be back.

   Visiting Montreal for the first time ever, my girlfriend and I had dinner at Tuck Shop on a Friday night. The seating was tight, but the noise level was perfect so it still felt like we were having a private conversation. They had “Walking on the Moon” Radio playing on Spotify. We showed up slightly full from lunch so we chose the lighter items on the menu - oysters, the grilled octopus, snow crab, & the winter salad. All of it was top-notch. This place pays attention to details. They flash-fried these cubed chickpea flower bites in the octopus dish, and they were creamy as hell. The oysters were perfect. My Old Fashioned cocktail was smooth and subtly orange. Everybody spoke English & French. Our server knew everything about the menu and the manager was engaging - we had great friendly conversations with both of them. But the staff’s shining moment came when the busser cleared our table. He must have noticed we were holding hands on top of the table before we moved them so he could reach our plates. He came back to us & grabbed each of our hands & he put them back together on top of the table & he smiled at both of us. Even though we showed up full, we convinced ourselves to order dessert. We got the chocolate nemesis, but if anything we became friends, at least our taste buds did. Great overall experience. Highly recommended.

   Terrific dining. Food wonderful. Staff so professional competent and caring. Recommendations from the server for food and wine were well done very helpful and price good No rush to get us out. Even a candle on pur dessert Wish I could go every night. Thank You All at Tuck Shop for a memorable birthday celebration

   The dining experience is a 10/10, from the ambience down to the food but what makes the experience so amazing is the great staff. They make your dining experience so much more personable and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

   As always the food was excellent (the menu is different and eclectic every time), the service is impeccable, and the attention to detail in both is extraordinary.

   I would 100% recommend this restaraunt, loved the vibes, service and food. I had high expectations and we cleaned our plates but I will say that the agnolotti was lacking a little something - maybe a truffle oil or more truffle shavings would have made the dish more harmonious or something a little spicy could have given it a kick. The fries with the steak were too crunchy and stale so I didn't eat them but I will say, the foccacia, scallop scrudo and the steak itself were 10/10 and the agnolotti itself was expertly prepared. The chocolate dessert was good but I want fireworks! Maybe next time I would try the lemon curd dessert for more punch.
