Twin Owls Steakhouse at The Taharaa Mountain Lodge

For the past two decades, the Twin Owls Steakhouse has offered the premiere fine dining and event experience in the Estes Valley. Now, as we look forward to the next twenty years, we invite you to join us in our new home at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge, and to experience the best that Estes Park has to offer.
Our menu has been carefully crafted to please the entire family, and includes a broad selection of steaks, wild game and seafood, along with a kids’ menu and an irresistible dessert selection. We also offer an extensive wine list, local craft beers and hand-crafted cocktails.

Accessible Entrance is available through the Lodge Entrance. Please call us for assistance.

Each course perfectly paired by Erik Mohr, winemaker at Snowy Peaks Winery. *Cancellation Policy - cancellations will be accepted up to a day before event, minus a $10 cancellation fee per guest.     Our definite go to for special occasions, we have gone for anniversaries and birthday, during the day the view is spectacular, the staff is always welcoming, kind and friendly. The food?? Absolutely phenomenal, from the appetizers to main course and even the desserts. Their baked Brie with the light flaky pastry crust and their tuna tartar are by far our favorites. Their steaks are melt in your mouth tender, and the option to make it surf & turf only makes it better. Portion sizes are just right and well worth the price. Cocktails are also spot on, their Expresso Martini and Old Fashion are amazing, and don't forget the chocolate cake at the end, you will want to order a 2nd slice to go, it's that good. I honestly can not say enough good things about Twin Owls and would highly recommend them for any occasion.

    This was our final dining experience before we left Estes Park and it did not disappoint! The restaurant sits on a bluff and has magnificent views from the dining area. We had reservations for after dark, so we did not get the full experience visually. The service was excellent. Our server, Beth was top drawer, answering all our questions before we could even ask and made a couple of great food recommendations. There were 4 of us in our party and we each got a different entre'...everyone's meal was excellent as well as the sides and appetizer. The prices are on the high side but certainly in line with any high end steak restaurant dinner menu. There are less expensive options as well. This is a great spot for special occassions. We will be back to Estes Park and Twin Owls will always be a must destination in the future.

    I made the reservation to celebrate my mothers birthday. Overall the service was great, my dish was the featured fish and was severely over cooked. For the price of the plate, it was very disappointing, my mother ordered the salmon and hers was over cooked as well. Everybody else had great plates, but it’s definitely a bummer to visit and get dishes so badly prepared.

    WOW!!! Wife and I travel often, and we love fine dining in new places. We thought Twin Owls would be good, but we were blown away. Beautiful location and dining area (added ambiance of a snowy December evening). Service was excellent. The food was incredible. Elk kabob app was insane. We shared a Wedge (they do green onion) and French Onion soup… both great. Entrees were both Bison steaks, filet and ribeye. Cooked perfectly. Incredible. Also had a side of brussels and a dessert of cream brûlée. Best fine dining experience we have had in quite awhile.

    The quality of the Meat was one of the best, but flavors and preparation of the food for the rest of the menu was very poor.
