                                                                          As expected, Tzuco did not disappoint. The Tetela, Queso Fundido, Tlacoya, and Pumpkin Risotto were spectacular. Well done!

                                                                          Overall disappointed. Food was good, but not amazing, and not worth the price. 2 vegetarians with us; only on meain course vegetarian option (chile relleno) on the menu, which server kept recommending. However, when taking the order, there were no chile rellenos left. How can a Mexican restaurant run out of peppers, especially when it's the only vegetarian main course option? Server then kept recommending the mushrooms starter despite us saying they didn't want the mushrooms. Will not be back.

                                                                          The food was amazing, and so creative: be sure to try whatever is on the temporary menu, inspired by different regions of Mexico, and the maíz dessert - as a sugartarian, it’s easily one of the best and most creative desserts I’ve ever had. And if you’re lucky enough to have Martín as your waiter, you’ll be wonderfully cared for. We also brought our nephew for his first “fancy dining experience” in a big city, and he both loved it and the staff took such good care of him - treating him with a perfect balance of thoughtfulness and joking. Highly recommend!

                                                                          Best restaurant I have ever eaten at. There is not one negative thing I can say. Amazing and friendly service. Phenomenal drinks and food. And a beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back if I’m ever in Chicago again.

                                                                          The service is very polished and atmosphere hip but not super noisy and tables are spaced comfortably apart. Appetizers were disappointing. My shrimp were rubbery, overly acidic with lime juice and salty. The Pulpo was adequate but looked nothing like the picture online, which led me to believe the Pulpo would be enhanced with vegetables. My main course, the short rib, was a very generous portion. The menu indicated sides of bean puree, pickled vegetables, and brussel sprouts. There were 2 sprouts cut in half on the plate and 1 pickled vegetable that tasted like a slice of red pepper. Be forewarned that wine pours are skimpy and margaritas start at $25 a drink while call-your-own margaritas are $35 a drink. Overall, I am undecided if I would return again . Even though the restaurant is just blocks from my home and I would love to frequent it, I remain unsure.
