Uchi, "house" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award‑winning Chef Tyson Cole. Uchi offers non‑traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and a seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Visiting from Austin and had a wonderful time trying the LA specials (the lobster was a standout dish). Tyler took excellent care of us and I look forward to coming back on my next trip.

I really wanted to love this place. The service was horrendous. The waiter took forever to bring water, they took forever to bring out the dishes. We were about to order dessert and they brought out or last roll we ordered. There was a bug in one of the drinks. The food was mediocre, the presentation of food was great. I wouldn’t go back.

Fantastic dinner with attentive but not overbearing service. I was hosting my best friend from out of town and we had a lovely experience. Highly recommend!

Our experiences at the various UCHI locations (Austin, Houston, and now LA) have been exceptional, we've come to expect a certain level of perfection when we come to dine here. We enjoyed one of our anniversary dinners there last Sunday night, but LA felt different than the other locations. Location was much bigger, brighter lighting, slower service (especially cocktails), our food server being trained - we had a good time and enjoyed the food but there could be some improvement to be consistent with the other UCHIs. Since we live in LA, hopefully if we come back we'll have more luck! Love the product.

Both food and drink were excellent unfortunately not the fault of our server, service was very slow with food and drink coming out to the table

Don’t sit at the sushi bar, you will be facing a wall and won’t be able to see the sushi being prepared. It’s the absolute worst experience they could ever have engineered for eating sushi. Not kidding, they have a wall in front of you at eye level and you can’t see anything and you can’t even communicate with your chef because of it. I’ve never seen anything like it in any sushi restaurant in my life. The people who designed this restaurant have OBVIOUSLY never eaten at the sushi bar.

My hubby and I love uchi! Bill is the best waiter. He’s knowledgeable, and he knows the menu extremely well. I appreciate that he makes suggestions throughout the meal based on your personal likings. We will definitely be back

This place is amazing the service the food we truly love it. Regular menu is to die for if you are looking for a really good happy hour is the best one in town. The drinks are delicious and the food we truly recommend this place and service is five stars. We just love This place and they have happy hour daily.

Absolutely wonderful! We spent our anniversary dinner here and were greeted by the manager and left a happy anniversary note on the table. Great first impression! We did the omikase menu based on our budget. The chef and our server came up with the best menu possible with exciting bites and a variety of flavors. Everything was fresh and so tasty! Would definitely recommend to friends/family. Sound wasn’t too loud at all either per some of these reviews. Maybe it’s worse on the weekend? Enjoy!
