Uchibā, loosely "Uchi Bar" in Japanese, is Uchi's izakaya‑inspired cocktail bar and restaurant delivering a vast selection of Japanese whiskies, unique cocktails, yakitori grill items and Uchi classics. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday dinner. Service was slow but everything we ate was delicious, compliments to the chef! The only bummer was that our server said only two of the desserts were worth trying and so we ordered both only to find out one was sold out by 8pm.. we got one dessert with no acknowledgment of it being her birthday so we left a little underwhelmed. This was not our first experience at uchiba but it was definitely lackluster.

I love Uchiba and sister restaurant’s and while the food has always been delightful, yesterday was a major service flop. Our waitress was the sole person assigned to also serve a 17 person corporate party. It was clear that she was overwhelmed and unable to tender to other guests. The table next to us waited 30 minutes to just get water as they sat down and we would routinely wait 20+ minutes for drinks as the corporate party was constantly prioritized. Our dinner took over 2.5 hours for no reason besides the corporate party being priority. Not sure if the team was understaffed but while our waitress was really nice it was just a rough dinner to have.

This was my first time eating at Uchiba or any of the related restaurants and my first time eating sushi. The server was so helpful with the menu and helping us decide what to try. The wagyu that we cooked ourself on the hot rock and the fried milk desert were highlights of the meal but everything we tried was delicious from the appetizers to the deserts. Every employee we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Even with a shellfish allergy I was comfortable eating here. Will absolutely return next time I’m in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed the nine course dinner for two on the patio during happy hour. The food and service were both very good, very fairly priced and lived up to all the rave reviews. I was most certainly impressed! I knew the downtown Uchiba was a more relaxed environment that their other two Austin locations. As we walked through the restaurant to the patio, I was surprised by how beautiful and upscale it was. Unfortunately, the patio did not match the interior vibe. It was an absolutely beautiful day in Austin so we were eager to enjoy the patio. We felt like we were sitting in a closed off basement. The street view was blocked, the decor was sparse (and not in a cool way!) and it was hot with no air flow. It probably didn't help that we were seated separately and with our backs to the other people on the patio, so it truly felt isolating, rather than private. The server did check to see if she could cut the fan on, which she eventually did, otherwise we would have had to move inside. If I ever return, I will definitely request an indoor table.

Top notch service from Sebastian!! And all of the other servers we have had there!DELICIOUS food!! A more extensive menu and with more variety than just the standard sushi restaurant! Prices are in line with other fine dining sushi restaurants. Ambiance is good, not great. Good aesthetics but in a small space with tables almost uncomfortably close. Very good wine menu with selections of good wines for all price points. Our guests loved the cocktail menu, especially the espresso martinis on the happy hour menu. This is definitely one of, if not our favorite sushi/Japanese restaurants in all of the Austin metro area!!

A tad expensive but fantastic. Our waitress Zoya was first class flawless. This was the best meal I’ve had since L’Arpege in Paris years ago. High praise but we’ll deserved, especially since we’re not te ally sushi people . I’m sure some purists might argue, but to me the flavors were lovely and exciting and the fish seemed high quality. The dedication to excellent, comfortable service was abundantly evident. Hard to believe this is kind-locked Austin but it is. We’ll done!
