Ula is a beautiful European Mediterranean restaurant and tapas bar in San Francisco. Sip your martini or quality wine with a seafood-centric menu that has a focus on raw, roasted, and grilled fish and various roasted and grilled meats, pasta, gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan selections. The restaurant is maximalist art deco with fixtures that depict jellyfish, oysters, and grand maritime vessels. Just a hop from Union Square, the delightfully vintage dining room begs to be paired with a nostalgic trolley ride and a stroll through the heart of the city. Dine on branzino and filet mignon as you sip on your martini with your family and friends on Christmas Eve and Day. Our Ristorante is offering a four-course menu $110(++) and $50(++) children menu, with choices in each course and gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan selections. This is the only menu available. Enjoy Live Music while dining in the Vault Room with Tony Martinez from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Cheers to Love and Friendship! Cancellations within seven days of the reservation will result in a per person charge of $50. Cancellation policy will also apply to cancellations due to COVID 19 and all health or travel related circumstances. Our goal is an accurate depiction of our availability to allow our staff to better accommodate you.

Official first date for me and my new guy. Christmas Eve Dinner was great. Service was awesome, live music was really good so was the food.

I haven’t been in this venue since it was Faralon and the new owners got lucky with the space & thankfully kept the decor. The food selection is decent but the food is overall moderate. Service was ok.. no attention that wine glasses were empty so we poured ourselves! Focaccia bread came with butter but says evo on the menu. I also didn’t like that 20% service charge is automatic added to the bill and the server did not mention that. Will we return probably not as I feel there are other options downtown that you get better value & come away satisfied.

Cons: although I listed one of our party as gluten and dairy free, it was not addressed at all. The food was pretty bland, except for the scallops, those were delicious but the other 4 dishes ordered were absolutely not worth their minimum $25 each. The service was attentive and okay initially but halfway through dinner, he barely spoke to / acknowledged us, did not say thank you, have a good night etc. I can only assume it’s because tip is included (35%) and so he didn’t try anymore. Pros: the music was good. The decor is interesting. I would not recommend Ula to anyone and wish I never went and spent $250 for that experience.

This was the old Farallon restaurant. So pleased that the decor has remained the same! Wonderful space. Great food - both tapas and a fuller menu. I had the unfortunate experience of having my wallet stolen just before going in to the restaurant. My sister was with me so no problem with paying. However, I was in and out of the restaurant as I sought police and worked to cancel credit cards. The service staff were wonderful and very understanding of the situation.

I had been to Ula restaurant a few times. This is my favorite restaurant whenever I go to shows with other friends and I even took my husband to dine at Ula after the show. So I mentioned it to my friends since it is near to Curran theater where we watched the Golden Girls Live show last night. We were accommodated nicely including another person to the reservation. We sat in the back in a beautiful booth. We were given an extra chair for the 5th person. For Tapas, we ordered the Octopus Carpaccio, Chicken Pastry and Truffle Fries. For the Main Plates we had the Spanish Paella & Crema Di Stracciatella and Bread Service. My friends told the server that we were celebrating mine and another friend’s birthday. Also we mentioned that we were going to see a show that the restaurant offers 10% off for restaurant dining. These are good perks they offer from happy hour (20% off), hotel guest (10% off), theatre & concert goers (10% off) & wine shop (50% off to go orders only). The service was superb. The owner passed by and said hello to our table. He was delighted to see us all wearing in red tops. Again the friends mentioned we were celebrating birthdays and after going to see the Golden Girls Live show. He wished me and my friend a happy birthday. The food was so delicious and delectable. My birthday friend ordered margarita for drink and the rest we ordered a bottle of Merlot (Chateau Le Bonnat Graves). I am a Cab person but the Merlot was medium body and was smooth and well-balanced. We the birthday gals were surprised by two separate cakes with candles. We had Tiramisu and Chocolate Truffle Mousse cake. They were so delicious and the flavor was mild and the mousse was rich but not intense. The cakes were complimentary which was a very nice gesture given to us. When we were leaving there was a live music player but the host said they have live player on Thursdays only. It was a beautiful dinner experience we had. I really recommend Ula for any occasions.
