We ordered 3 dinners. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, a beet salad, a fish dinner. All of them were barely warm. Not quite sure what the reasoning behind that was. The salad hadn't been completely dried before they applied the rest of the ingredients so that made for a strange soggy mess. Unfortunate because that was our first visit and it definitely scared us off.

I had the best beef short rib dinner that I have ever eaten in my life! The meat was not fatty and had a nice deep wine gravy. The risotto was perfectly done (not always the case in restaurants). The house salad is a long-time favorite of mine with the house miso dressing. Mel was our server. She had perfect timing with our service and had a delightful presence. This restaurant is a neighborhood jewel!

Meal was above average in quality and value. Seating for two was at a high table with uncomfortable chairs. By the end of the meal we just wanted to leave so we didn’t have to sit in the chairs any longer.

The menu never changes. My Niçoise salad had so much dressing look like a soup and the capers burnt. The desserts are not good at all. The menu has several misspelled words. But the worst is really the menu always the same.

First time at Union Hill Grill. Farmhouse vibe for interior. We were quietly celebrating my friend’s birthday. Each of us tried a different entree. Each enjoyed his or her selection. Pan-seared salmon (server said she doesn’t like salmon anywhere else, but loves it here). Huge pork chop with mashed potatoes & collard greens. Crab cakes with flipped corn (looks like regular corn to me). Finally, a blue plate special: veal meatloaf. The only quibble: broccolini. Tough, not tasty. Server was prompt, polite, friendly. A very pleasant experience. Good place for food and conversation. Highly recommend. We plan to go back.

Firstly, the hostess had an attitude from the start. This person is the first impression for any restaurant and she/he needs to be warm, friendly and good at their job. One’s experience and expectations are set here. Ours was therefore set low. We waited almost 15 minutes before our waitress introduced herself and we understood she was busy. We saw that other tables had been served bread. When we asked for bread 10-15 minutes later, she was surprised no one had brought it to us. That was apparently down to the hostess…. As a restaurant that charges downtown Canton/finer dining prices, I was a little disappointed to be served my wine in a tumbler. The side Caesar was nice. My entree (salmon)was cooked through as requested and tasted good. The Broccolini was very hard and difficult to cut. The Risotto was creamy and rich, but just ok. Overall an average experience but disappointing for sure. We don’t live in GA, but love to visit this area. When we next return, we won’t be coming back to this restaurant.

cocktails and dinner was good. Ambience could be improved, more cosy and lower lighting, bar area is much nicer than the other side of the restaurant. Menus are a bitty tatty with food stuck on them that, and brown paper table covers not great and a bit off putting.

Our server was so polite and good was great! The kids chicken fingers are a pleasant surprise and delicious. The lamb chops were my favorite!
