Almost three years on from its culinary christening, Upstairs has sparked a reputation for casual dining in its finest form. A self-contained dining space, Upstairs offers guests a selection of small plates from our daily-changing menu, all of which are cooked to order from an open island kitchen and designed to share.

As well as being available for reservations and exclusive hires, Upstairs proudly plays host to a variety of exciting events and special evenings for our guests to enjoy; from expertly-led wine masterclasses to convivial Sunday lunches.

Our aim has always been to offer our guests the opportunity to get closer to the cooking process than ever before, and with the unfaltering passion and dedication of our team, a recently (and very proudly) received Bib Gourmand Award, and the continued support of our wonderful guests, we truly see nowhere to go but up.

7pm Arrival Thom Bateman will be joining us at Upstairs at Trinity to cook an intimate four course dinner. Menu: Staffordshire Cheese and Salt Baked Beetroot Tart, Black Garlic Ketchup, Pickled Gold Beets, Crispy Kale ~ Brown Butter Poached Cod, Smoked Butter Sauce, Cucumber, Dill, Caviar ~ Venison Loin, Caramelised and Pickled Celeriac, Poached Pear, Maitake ~ 72% Chocolate Torte, Crème Fraiche Ice Cream, Pedro Ximenez Soaked Raisins, Hot Chocolate Crisp, Pecan Crumble £95 per person

The place is beautiful and the service was wonderful. However, the food in general was "OK" and wasn't that savory. Also, the artichoke dish made no sense at all and the waiting time between dishes was a bit too long

We had a gorgeous meal to celebrate my husbands birthday with friends. We love the relaxed style of eating at Upstairs, incredible food, high quality ingredients, wonderful friendly attentive, well trained staff and a gorgeous restaurant. Lots of sharing plates so you can choose pretty much everything on the menu, the specials are always incredible and you get to experience the skills the chefs put to good use on our plates. An all round special meal, would always recommend x

I’m a returning customer to Upstairs, because put simply it’s great! Good choice of small plates including vegetarian options and larger plate options to share. Really friendly service as well. Good for special occasions as well casual friends meet ups.

Upstairs is a cosy, friendly space with delicious food and good wine. Both are quite expensive but good quality.

We had an incredible evening, food, wine, service amazing. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, it won’t disappoint, you are in for a treat.

This restaurant is just top tier 🤌🏼 first of all, the service is great, everyone is so lovely and are passionate about the dishes. And the food is just delicious. We had the venison, comte croquettes and broccoli with anchovy which I highly recommend. For dessert, their tiramisu is a must, and I don’t even like tiramisu like that. 5/5 from me!

A bit stingy with the measure of champagne, but otherwise delicious, and our waitress was excellent. A lovely evening (although I ate too much).
