Uptown Sports Club has found its second life thanks to Aaron Franklin and a handful of friends united by their deep love for Austin. Same building. Same neighborhood. Same soul. Just thoughtfully reimagined for the East Austin of today.

Known for contemporary farm-to-table fare rooted in the celebration of flavors and ingredients of the American Heartland, James Beard-nominated Chef Kyle Knall will create an exclusive menu alongside pitmaster Aaron Franklin that showcases an elevated yet playful take on the beloved Midwest tradition, with a Texas edge.

Food was just ok. Ordered the shrimp po boy, fries, and a bowl of gumbo. Po boy was pretty bland and fries were greasy without being very crispy. Fun atmosphere but definitely loud on a Saturday night. Overall, it felt overpriced for what it is, so I probably won't be back.

We had brunch on Sunday, 11/10/24 and a party of 8. Service however was extremely slow and our order was not brought out correctly. We were all disappointed as we wanted to try it for something new. Food was fine once we finally received it but nothing spectacular as there are so many other spots in Austin. No check in for coffee refills, drinks, etc.

We were a large group and also needed to eat quickly before heading to a show. Our party was arriving sporadically - not all at once. The servers were outstanding! Rather than getting put off by the situation, they were on hand and quickly got orders in as folks arrived. Were also quick with drink reorders. They also quickly checked us out individually so we were in and out quickly. Their attitude was super friendly and helpful. Could have been a nightmare for all involved but they executed perfectly. Oh, and the food and drinks were awesome too!

Excellent brunch at Uptown Sports Club! Delicious fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and biscuits! Highly recommend their seasonal latte too!

I had higher expectations since I saw the menu offered more of a Cajun vibe. The food was not very tasty at all. We ordered various dishes to try out. The shrimp and grits were very watery and the shrimp lacked flavor. The fried chicken was decent but it was all dark meat. The drinks were good, I had a bloody Mary and a mimosa. The place has a cute vibe so that was a plus. I may come back just to have a drink.

Had a great first time experience. Thank you for the complimentary dessert, the service was excellent. My only suggestion is to turn the music down a tad in the main dining room. My table and the tables around us had to shout at each other to have conversations. All good overall!

Food was really spot on- I had the redfish on the half shell and others had the steak frites, salmon, crab cocktail, and roast beef po' boy. All were really well done. Good wines and beer list was good variety. I'd go back but maybe sit on the patio next time as I had a hard time hearing my party talk as the noise level was loud.

This spot has become one of our favorites in all of Austin. Great menu, perfect patio and excellent service. We take all of our out-of-town visitors there a they always love it.

Food was great. Aaron was a friendly and gracious host. He went above and beyond to ensure that we felt comfortable and our experience was great. The staff was on top of everything. Never a dry glass. The vibe was awesome. Overall great experience, plan to try and make it back for the normal menu.
