Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Balham restaurant in 2024, our second site after our Herne Hill baby! Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

    very lovely and friendly staff, they allowed me to push my booking back half an hour before and also allowed me to add an extra person who I had brought with me! very tasty waffles as well :)

    Neat place & atmosphere, but it’s basically waffles for foodies. No plain waffles (or something simple like fruit & maple syrup) - so may be a bit much for people with more basic palates.

    Delicious waffles with quality ingredients. My son is coeliac so great to know everything was risk free of cross contamination. Our cocker spaniel could come in too & was brought a bowl of water on the house. Friendly & efficient service. Loved it

    Always a fun place to catch up with friends. Team are always super nice and food (drippy eggs my fave) is great. Just the right amount of crunch on the waffles with a soft centre. Fruit smoothies are freshly prepared and not only are, they even TASTE, healthy. Must mention that they are dog friendly, so I would normally have had my boy with me too. Next time...next time.... : )

    Delicious gluten free food, attentive and welcoming staff, and always a pleasure to eat here. The waffles are fantastic, and I’d highly recommend the one with the fried chicken. Having been gluten free for a few years, it’s rare to find somewhere that does GF fried chicken so well. Staff are excellent at accommodating customers with allergens, and make me feel safe whenever I’ve eaten at either of their branches.
