Veda is an Indian Restaurant in the heart of Philadelphia, serving Indian cuisine with a modern outlook. Our focus is on delighting our guests with the perfect balance of culture and flavor in our food, combined with our warm hospitality. Visit Veda for decadent Indian cuisine combining all aspects of fine dining. We are currently offering Indoor Dining as well as delivery and takeout via Toast Takeout. We also utilize Caviar, DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats etc.
We also host private parties and large buy-outs! Please call the restaurant directly for all inquiries.

Note-
*Bottles of wine/champagne brought from outside will incur a corkage fee of $25 per bottle and a cake cutting fee of $20.
*We don't seat any bookings until the complete party arrives.
*We don't accept contactless payments.

                                          I have eaten at Veda 3 times. The food is consistent and i like the ambiance, location and think it's priced correctly. Last night the service was poor. By the fourth time I asked for our check I was irritated. It wasn't even crowded. We had to request rice and a yogurt dish that we ordered 2x after everything else came out . Just sloppy on their part.

                                          Veda was great! We went as part of Restaurant Week and loved the menu! The branzino was very fresh and loved the Drums of Heaven! Service was great!

                                          The food was very poor quality. If you are looking for good Indian food, do not come here. It was flavourless and lacked the spicy, aromatic quality of Indian food. Portion sizes were also very small. The rasmalai tres leches cake was a disappointment. It was served in a cup (?!) and there was not even a trace of rasmalai. Not sure why it was named that. Service was good.

                                          Great and attentive server(s). Lots of menu choices - especially for it being restaurant week. Restaurant lived up to our high expectations.

                                          I was impressed by the delicious food and cozy ambiance. However, the background music was a bit too loud not pleasant, which made it difficult to carry on a conversation with my family. Despite this, the food and atmosphere were both excellent, and I would recommend the restaurant with the suggestion of turning down the music volume a notch. Overall, a great spot for a meal, and I look forward to returning!

                                          A little disappointed with Restaurant Week menu - because I enjoyed the lunch offering much better in the fall CCRW. The bass curry dish was to die for, but the black bean and rice dish was not exciting. The naan of course was wonderful. We got the garlic nann. The desert was very good. Overall, the $20 lunch was an excellent value. Plenty for vegetarians.
