Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations. Taking a detailed, seasonal, and sustainable approach with small and large plate offerings, the kitchen brings new life to the favorite hallmarks of American oyster bar fare and raw bar. Complementing the experience are well-crafted cocktails, and a focused wine list of seafood-friendly white and sparkling offerings, as well as light, fresh reds.

    Join us on Wednesday, April 30th for a collaboration dinner with Cookie Till and her team at Steve & Cookie’s (Margate, NJ)!  Cookie, her Executive Chef Kevin Kelly and Chef de Cuisine Warner Christie will present dishes alongside our culinary team, led by Chef Greg and David Paterniti for a five-course, prix fixe dining experience.     We walked in and had the option of a nice suede lounge sofa, a high top, or regular dining table. We chose the couch and everything was perfect. Oysters 9/10, octopus 9/10 and Branzino was phenomenal. Great service, low lights, great menu. WOW!

    The seabass was over cooked and burned, it was dry and actually tasted bitter because of the burned coat. The waitress/busser removed our dishes before checking if we finished, showed attitude that they want us to leave because it's late even though they sat us in later than our reservation time. Even when we said thanks before leaving, the girl purposely not respond back. For a $500 dinner bill that we were willing to pay, that service was very disappointing and unacceptable.

    Food was very good. Drinks were okay. Service was unfortunately quite disappointing. Seated 20 plus minutes after reservation. They did try and make up for this with one small appetizer comped, which was appreciated. Waitress had a major attitude problem and even placing the order with no modifications to anything seemed to be too much work for her. Overall unpleasant experience given the above, wouldn’t dine again.
