For Valentine's Day, my girlfriend and I decided to make a reservation at this place and here's where the fun begins: a few days before the event they changed the time of booking (8:30 to 9) for a mistake of theirs and I kindly accept the change even though was not ok for us, as outlined in an email. No email reply to apologise for the inconvenience. On the day of the dinner we arrive 10 minutes before 9 at the restaurant and the reception was not the best as we were scolded that our booking was half an hour earlier (when in fact they had changed it at 9 am), I do not even have time to explain that the waitress goes to the till to talk to a colleague who I think is her manager. They make us wait at the door for a while, after which they nod from far to show us our table, where the manager leaves us the "Valentine's Day" menus without bringing the restaurant's main menu (nowhere was it specified at the time of booking that it was compulsory to order from the Valentine's Day menu, also because the booking had been made specifically to try dishes from the main menu). We had already pointed out to the staff at the time of booking that my girlfriend has a dairy intolerance.
Once we ordered, to the disappointment that we could not order things from the main menu, we noticed that there was a bit of a commotion in the air from one particular staff person, who kept calling all the customers "my lovely"as if we were at Aunt Fernanda's inn. The same person soon afterwards took back some customers in a bad way sitting next to us who were rightly annoyed that the menu was not on the table 10 minutes after their arrival. When we got the order, the waitress brought us a cacio e pepe which we had not ordered since my girlfriend is lactose intolerant, she insisted that she had ordered it and the way she did it was quite bad since she raised her voice embarrassing her in front of all the guests.
Great food but very bad waiting staff experience, very disorganised!
