We sat down to afternoon tea at 1pm. We had to ask the reception desk where to go because there was no signage to the dining space (we didn't see a single sign for 'Victoria's)
The dining area was getting increasingly busy as the session went on and there didn't seem to be enough staff to cope.
We opted for the bottomless prosecco option taking the total price to £45 per person. We were only able to get 3, small, glasses each within the 1.5hr time limited because it was near impossible to get a server's attention.
The food was fresh and tasty. The sandwiches were egg mayonnaise, ham and mustard, chicken, and smoked salmon. We also got a fruit scone, plain scone, banana mousse, chocolate plant pot and something else that I can't now remember. Would I call it special? no.
Unlike other afternoon tea services that I have been to (Ritz, Savoy, Claridges) we were not asked if we would like additional sandwiches or cakes. I asked if it was possible to get any more sandwiches (each person get's 4 quarter sandwiches so the equivalent of 1 whole standard sized sandwich; supermarket sized loaf) and was told yes, but it would cost £7 extra.
The dining area was a little chilly and didn't have any atmosphere.
Overall the experience was okay, but for a total bill of £109 I wouldn't come back again.
