Dante and his team are the new-kids on Moody Street, Waltham but old pros in the Boston area. Dante has been cooking in his home town of Abruzzo since 1979. His passion for cooking grew as explored the all the flavors and recipes of the Adriatic Sea which surrounded him. We are excited to bring our skills to Waltham where we welcome old friends and invite new ones to Vinotta Restaurant.

Vinotta Restaurant serves simple food made with fresh, wholesome, organic ingredients using locally sourced vendors. Flowing between classic and modern Italian favorites all made from scratch and sure to suit your palate. Domestic and imported wine selections to compliment food choices available for in-house and take out dining.

    The food was outstanding (except the soup special had too much salt) . The customer service was too much for us, but others might like the hovering waiters. As we ordered, they were not accepting what we chose to order. They kept pushing the specials (maybe because they cost more). Our group was trying to have a conversation and the waiter kept stopping by a little too often. Maybe others would like that, but we did not. Food was exceptional.

    I’ve generally had excellent experiences at Vinotta. But last night I was disappointed with the halibut which was overcooked and did not seem very fresh. The rest of the meal was on par and excellent.

     This was our first time here. The staff were amazing and the food was impeccable! Portions were on spot. We will definitely be back.

    As an Italian immigrant, I am always looking for good, real Italian food, and most times I leave a restaurant disappointed. But not last night. My wife and I met two friends at Vinotta last night and as always I walked in a bit skeptical, but within minutes I felt differently. We were greeted by the most gracious hostess, our server came right away, told us the specials, pronounced all dishes properly and made some recommendations. The food was OUTSTANDING! The flavors were incredible. I had the “Calamari so good” which was indeed so good..my wife had the shrimp Portofino, which was delicious…our friends had the grilled octopus and they raved about it. We then had lobster ravioli and the Bucatini alla Romana.. Everything was delicious… As we walked out my wife said to me “You have to take me here again for a romantic dinner just the two of us “… Can’t wait to go back. Grazie Dante e Fausto!     Had a great meal at Vinotta with carpaccio, mussels and an amazing carbonara dish with pasta made in house! Outstanding service, too especially by bartender extraordinaire Rebecca. Will be back!

    Great addition to the Waltham Italian cuisine options. Very good as authentic Italian. Excellent wine list as well
