We’ve worked hard to create a warm, honest & thoughtful space. We pride ourselves on unpretentious service, timing & most importantly providing great value. From start to finish, Virtue was absolutely exceptional. We celebrated my birthday with a party of six, and the experience was unforgettable. Our server, Joe (I believe), was incredible—laid-back, attentive, and full of excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. First off, the celebration of Black excellence in this restaurant is truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to see such a diverse team working seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and joy. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The table favorites included the biscuits with pimento cheese, the tender short ribs, and the baked chicken, which had phenomenal flavor and perfectly crispy skin. I can’t recommend the sides enough—they were all a hit! The desserts were something special—truly homemade in the best way. The red velvet cake was decadent, and the peach cobbler and banana pudding tasted like they were crafted with love by someone’s grandmother. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, whether it’s for another special occasion or just happy hour at their inviting bar. Huge thanks to the chefs and the team at Virtue!

We make it a point to eat at Virtue when we are in town. It is always a wonderful dining experience! The food is delicious, prepared with great care, and there are always a few new dishes to try. The Duck mouse was amazing! The staff is excellent! The vibe is perfect. Everything is done with great intention!

Amazing food and service. Great bar. The gumbo is full of flavor, as well as the Mac and cheese. The start of the show for us was the short rib.

Food was great and ample street parking. If you get gumbo starter request cornbread be served along side it ♥️♥️♥️

I ate at Virtue on Sunday, December 29, 2024. I had an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions of items on the menu. The half chicken I ate was so flavorful it made me want to be a better cook. The cornbread was savory without being too sweet. I was also impressed by the flavorful collard greens and candied yams. The other members of my dinner party also enjoyed their meals. I look forward to eating at Virtue again.

Excellent food and ambiance, but the staff were a bit pretentious, and some items were not priced accordingly. However delicious, $12 for one piece of cornbread is incredibly steep, though other dishes were reasonable for the quality and portions.
