Italian-American fare in the heart of The Village. Crafted by Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, the menu at Vulcania Mammoth features organic, local and seasonal ingredients and is known for its Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, handcrafted salumi, and perfect pairings of wine, beer and craft cocktails. A favorite locale for family dinner, date nights, drinks al fresco or a game of bocce ball on the terrace.

    Not impressed with the food or drinks. The mortadella toast was disgusting. Pizza was average. Food did come out quickly but service was sparse. Would not go here again.

    The pepperoni pizza was burnt. I sent it back, then they brought out another and it was burnt and they told me that’s just how it is. It tasted like burnt charcoal

    Really loved our dinner at Vulcania, it was quite busy but staff was still very attentive and food was delicious! Highly recommend the prosciutto & mozz appetizer, was so simple but so tasty! Great wine selection and cocktails were yummy too.

    Food and service was great. We sat outside in an igloo/pod. Very cool experience. Manager got us in earlier, but forgot to tell us we had 1hr 15min before we had to leave. He then proceeded to come make us feel bad for not leaving on time, but forgot to check with his server first. Very unprofessional and rude. 2 of 7 meals came out 30 minutes after the others. We were still eating main course, just started our second drink, and ordered desert and we already surpassed our time limit. We ate and ordered as fast as we could. Manager didn’t apologize or even comp desert for bringing 2 meals 30min later than everyone else only to then get mad at us. Server was so sweet and amazing. Kitchen had the issue and manager should work on communication and timing.

    Reserved a dome for 5:45 got many reminders of the 2 hour limit and that they had another party waiting. Arrived at 5:40 and was told we would be seated in 5 min which was weird because nobody was in the dome. Nobody called us I had to go back to the front and ask and was met with a hostess that was not welcoming nor acknowledging that they never called us. With all the mention of the strict timing I expected them to be on time too. Our server was great very kind. I think he was at the mercy of the kitchen. Our food came out 1 item at a time so we ate in intervals. My pizza took the longest as everyone was done eating by the time it came out. Dessert delivered promptly and clean up crew was there promptly to start removing plates and kick us out that was still only 7pm. Again server was great but the rest of the staff could use some training in hospitality nobody looked like they wanted to be there. Most of us are on holiday- smile , be welcoming, etc it really goes a long way when staff is friendly.

    Natalie gave great recommendation and spoke to the chef regarding a specific dietary need in our party. She came back with a fully edited menu of what options adhered to their needs. That was so kind! We had such a wonderful experience we returned the following night to try the rest of her suggestions! Thank you, Natalie!

    The setting and décor were beautiful—definitely felt more upscale than most places in Mammoth, which was a nice change. We also really appreciated the ability to make a reservation, especially for a large family, which made dining out so much easier. The food itself tasted great, though it came out way too fast, which made the pacing of the meal feel rushed. Our server was very kind, but unfortunately, she wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu and could have benefited from more training. Despite those minor hiccups, we’d definitely come back! The ambiance and food quality make it worth another visit
