Had reservations at 7:15 on a Saturday. Was super stoked. Showed up early and they were able to get us seated at 7:10. Here’s where it turned. Was seated, waitress super and took drink order. Waited 20 minutes and got two waters. I ordered beer but they forgot. Which is fine, whatever. We ordered cauliflower app, my wife mentions they forgot my beer so waitress sends one out even though I decline. We get app, it was super good, meanwhile we order chicken sandwich for my wife and I order the market meat. 12oz ribeye. It came out, wife says chicken sandwich is ok, not better than chick fil a. I eat the ribeye, mashed potatoes and asparagus. For market rate, it was thinner than I imagined but had good flavor. The mashed potatoes had consistency and taste of ore ida instant garlic potatoes. Asparagus wash cooked well.
Here’s the bit crazy part. We get bill and I don’t look and hand card to waitress. They gave me beer for free, because they forgot. The appetizer was free because we had to wait so long. My wife’s drink was good, martini, at $13-14 which is fine. Her chicken sandwich and my $70 market rate ribeye. $70 yes not a mis-print. Total bill for 3 things was $109 plus I tipped $30 because I feel service was crappy not to her fault, just over worked. So $139 for a mediocre meal, ambience was ok.
The crazy to me part is, I would try again, but order something different and try a different time.
In conclusion, not terrible, not high end as the price suggests, but quaint if you’re not in a hurry. Three stars is appropriate but hoping the next time we can hit a five star
