I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Watami Philippines in Glorietta last January 29, 2025. From the moment we arrived, the service was unorganized and slow even though the restaurant wasn’t full.
We requested for a particular seat that was unoccupied but denied by the attending service crew named JEAN mentioned rudely "Hind ipwede kasi reserve diyan" considering we are also booked thru Open table, however we observe that up until we leave the restaurant no one occupied the table we are suppose to seat via request. I also noted in my reservation online that the purpose of our dining is my wife's mom's birthday by nothing special nor a special compliment/efforts were made unlike with other BIstro Group which we are a regular customer this was in fact the worst restaurant experience I had in terms of both local and international standard.
Once seated, it took forever for the staff to take our order, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and poorly prepared. The quality of food did not justify the price. To make things worse, the staff seemed inattentive and unbothered. We had to call their attention multiple times just to get basic things like hot tea, condiments and complimentary sides. There was also one instance the counter lady service crew (Didn't get her name) with sarcastic tone responded to our request of refillable sides "Waaiittt lang pooo" which I take offense as a customer everyone deserve to be treated fairly. Duty managers is not pro active Ex. may follow up kami with our orders, request of sides pag sakanila sinasabe they just heavily rely on their staff members by that time dalawa lang yung nakadeploy and most of the time nagchishismisan lang sila sa may other side ng assembly line ng food
For a restaurant in such a prime location, I expected way better service and food quality. Definitely not worth the time or money—would not recommend.
