Water Grill has been serving seafood in Downtown Los Angeles since 1989. This iconic seafood destination in the place to enjoy the first catch of the season and a deep variety of fish, lobsters, crabs, oysters and shellfish on a robust menu that changes daily. Water Grill has always been a great lunch location for me. 2 people for $83 before tax is steep for sure. Service and food is great, just the price point is a bit excessive.

Exceptional seafood quality, flawless preparation with creative and delicious accompaniments. Royalty level service at your table and a distinguished yet mellow ambiance in the room. The servings aren’t tiny, but they’re also not huge so order an appetizer and a salad to go with your entrée and if you’re like me, you’ll be very very happy. Valet parking is super convenient and very affordable- don’t forget to get validated.

The fish tasted like tires and gasoline and the scallops had no flavor at all. We’ve been to several Water Grills and this was the first time we did t enjoy the experience. LA Water Grill, you can do so much better…

Great ambiance. Came here in formal attire after the opera which was 5 minutes up the street. Waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. Oysters, Sea bass and Ciopino was delicious!! Would definitely come back!

We had an excellent time at the Water Grill. The food was excellent. My group has the sea bass, shrimp scampi, poke and calamari. The service was great again. We will be back again for sure.

Very similar experience the last two times I’ve been here. Friendly but very uneven service, great appetizers, one lukewarm entrée comes out to the table.

The first Poke appetizer was smothered with sesame seeds. The replacement was OK but not up to their usual standard The Miso with Black Cod was also below their normal excellence. We were comped for those two dishes but definitely an off night
