Water’s edge is one Canberra’s most respected restaurants situated in a lovely position with water views right on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Water’s edge continues to flourish providing an exquisite menu to their patrons. The interior is simply this: luxury executed with the restraint that accompanies the impeccable taste. The high ceilings, clean tones, plush chairs and white linen tables invite you to sit back and truly embrace the dining experience. The comfortable level space boasts a lovely water views overlooking the lake. The service is professional, friendly and unobtrusive.                                     Water's Edge overall is a little disappointing - the fine dining experience was lacklustre. We ordered a degustation with wine pairing - staff forgot to bring wine for two out of seven courses. Ambience could do with a bit of improvements. The restaurant had harsh white ceiling light over the open bar area, and warm yellow light elsewhere. There were harsh sensor lights at the door, which ruins the lake view (a selling point of the restaurant) whenever a passer-by walks past. Food was average. I did however enjoy the unexpected spice twist to all the flavouring!

                                    An excellent restaurant in a beautiful location. We booked a table following a glowing recommendation from some friends. We were not disappointed. The food was top quality and it was matched by the excellent service. This will be a must for a return visit when we next travel to Canberra.

                                    Good service and interesting menu. Disappointed to be waiting to be greeted and also not farewelled when leaving despite ample floor staff to do so. Some charges for pre-dinner drinks without viewing drinks menu excessively priced and bill shock at end of night.
