Me and a gf went on International Women’s Day to celebrate 20years of friendship together. We each ordered a drink, her the creamsicle margarita, and I the chambord royale, both delicious, with hers being just the slight better choice. Then to start off, we shared a bowl of the french onion soup & Parmesan cheese toast, both super yum, then we ordered a second drink, each getting a creamsicle margarita this time, then our steaks came. We ordered the Wellington and the Steak Neptune, both cooked medium rare, as well as the side of brussels w/bacon & the asparagus w/ hollandaise side. Both steaks were juicy and full of flavor, cooked to perfection and cut like butter. We both had the double stuffed baked potatoe and the veg side it came with were baby carrots and broccoli. I opted to have a dollop each of sourcream, bacon & green onion on mine, And pepper ground on everything. Service was impeccable. All staff were very attentive and kind, we did not feel rushed at all, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, however, our side orders of brussels & asparagus were forgotten about for a moment, so when our steaks arrived we had to kindly remind them about those. I think they may have rush ordered them, cuz while the taste was still good, the brussels were a tad overdone with some very burnt edges and pieces and they were quite salty, the flavor is there w/ just the peppers & onions that I honestly don’t think they need the bacon in them too, but to each their own. The hollandaise sauce on the asparagus was a bit lumpy and it looked like it had sat for a bit and was also not very hot. We still ate most of both side dishes. We left no room for dessert this time sadly. Next time I will skip any bread to start perhaps.
While the ambiance in the restaurant is nice & I highly appreciate not having loud music playing, I do think the bathroom sinks could have been designed better & not book more than 1 big party at a time as the restaurant isn’t very big & was quite noisy
