Was really excited to try out a bar attached to a 3 michelin star restaurant.
The drinks themselves were good but we were really hoping for something spectacular with bold flavors. The signature whisky and seaweed drink didn't have as much flavor as I would have hoped and even seemed a bit anodyne. They also had an irish coffee on offer and the presentation was really fun in picking parts of the drink, though again, the options selected didn't make a lot of difference in the overall taste which was a bit..."meh."
Food was the real letdown...the small bites or "snacks" were relatively affordable but just lacking in much flavor and it felt like more of the money was being spent on the elaborate presentation of the food in bespoke plates/food holders. The small plates I would strongly advise against as they weren't much more food than the small bites but nearly quadruple the price and flavor profiles were similar.
The core dessert apple, while super pretty in appearance, was incredibly sweet to the point it was hard to taste the other components of the dessert. I like sweet things but it was just too much.
Service was outstanding and I can't fault that whatsoever. The ambiance was also quite good and I loved the decor.
I hate having to write a not-so-positive review but I was extremely excited reading the near perfect reviews and wanted to add my own thoughts.
