Whispers at Oak Street Beach is the only restaurant & beach bar in Chicago that is situated directly on the water. At Whispers, guests get the best of both worlds: perfect views of Lake Michigan against the backdrop of Chicago’s spectacular skyline.

** The restaurant will operate on a first come first serve basis on Saturday and Sundays.

** Reservations for our Cabanas can be made by texting (312) 522-0358. $500 minimum available during the week only.

** Kitchen closes Sunday-Thursday at 8pm and Friday-Saturday at 9pm.

Restaurant closed at 730 without warning. Said it wasn't busy though to stay open. I had brought customers there. Had to make alternate dinner plans.

$24 for three soggy tacos with no sides was really bad. Coffee is on the menu, but you can’t get it. View was great, but there were bees buzzing around my food and table. View of the lake is outstanding.

Loooove the ambiance of the place! Perfect spot to eat & drink by the lake/beach with the views of the sunset. 🙂 However, I do think the price points were a lil higher than the usual restos & bars in Chicago, especially for the food quality. Food and drinks were not that impressive, but just okay, just fine…. I hope they improve it soon! Overall though, I do think we’re really paying more the vibessss - and that’s what makes it worth it hehe 🌊😌 I do commend the staff for excellent customer service tho! Thanks for accommodating us a family (with a baby). Also, love the dogs! Such happy vibes in this place. Y’all should give it a try ❤️❤️

It was a best location to enjoy Chicago. Meal was excellent. People friendly. Just do not be in a rush.

Burger and chicken sandwich were good. Spicy cucumber Margarita was great. It you come for the location and view, which are exceptional. Friendly service. Kitchen closes at 8pm…

Paid for a $30 spot hero, took a $10 Uber (because my mother cannot walk that far) got all the way there to find out the kitchen was closed. Never got an email to let us know that so spent gas and $40 for nothing. Don’t even want to go back because who knows if I’ll ever get to eat there. Was my mother and my bday dinner I’m truly disappointed
