Had an awesome time dining with my best friend on Valentine’s Day @ Reading White Castle. We shared the love cube meal, the place was packed and service was acceptable for the location and circumstance. Wait after we ordered for our food was lengthy but we enjoyed our time. We tipped 25% and hope she shared with the rest of the staff, since it was a true team effort.

First of all our server/greeter/waitress was super. Very friendly, helpful and courteous. She even agreed to take several photos of my wife and I as we were there for the special "White Castle Valentine Experience!" However we were somewhat disappointed in the "ambience" of the evening. Admittedly it was late - our reservation was for 8:30 - but previously we had seen commercials, ads, etc touting the event as having linen tablecloths, candles, servers in suits and even tuxedos. We had the candle, but with a dollar store pink plastic tablecloth and servers were in their regular WC t-shirts. Not very fancy. Some of the decorations were definitely creatively White Castle/Val Day themed...but the big photo backdrop poster dropped - and then fell down in the floor where it stayed, thwarting our best WCVD photo op. But it was fun and different and definitely easy on the wallet. LOL

I guess I’m the grumpy old guy but when you have valentines dinners kids 3 and under shouldn’t be allowed. Their screaming was incredibly loud and ruined what otherwise would’ve been a cool experience. Our waitress had no idea how to wait tables but we haven’t seen someone hustle and bust their butt like she did so she made up for any shortcomings. Never thought I’d leave a $20 tip at White Castle 😂😂. It was overall an experience we will try again.

We made a reservation and went for Valentine's Day. We've seen this option advertised over the years but have never tried it. It was different and fun and ended up being a memory. I was very impressed with the staff at White Castle's that waited on our table. It's obviously not a restaurant where the employees are use to playing the role of waitress but they handled it well, were very friendly and the meal went smoothly.

The service we received at this location was horrible. I felt they were ill prepared for patrons who had reservations for Valentine's Day. The manager acted as our service and she was all over the place, kept forgetting our order she just pretty much ignored us the whole time we were there. She spent time enertaining one particular couple and short changed me on the experience as well as the items that came along with the experience. She needs better organizational and customer service base training. Will not recommend this particular location to anyone
