I think the staff did as well as they could given the circumstances. The staff was friendly and courteous. However, the restaurant overall seemed a bit understaffed.
Food took quite some time to arrive - maybe 25-30 minutes.
The store was decorated nicely and music was appropriate and fun.
The main issue I had was that the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It was clear that other diners were cold as well. I saw numerous people put on jackets during our visit.
It took us quite some time to cash out after the meal was done. No one asked for my rewards number. And, in the promotions for the event it stated that there would be specials / etc. for rewards members.
I love this event. It frankly is likely a financial loss for White Castle overall, if I had to guess. I just wish that the staff was give the proper resources to deliver on the really special and unique experience. Again, I imagine the primary goal is for the White Castle brand to build goodwill. As such, spend a bit of money and make the proper investment to make the night truly special and unique.
