White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

    Long time visitor to white dog but first time in Chester springs location. Disappointed over all. First, ambiance is def not the same here as other locations. Lacking the subtle dog references in odd locations. This place looked like a chain but I can get past that. Hostess gave us a terrible seat (restaurant was not busy). I asked to change to one of the many empty booths. This did not make her happy but eventually she obliged. I ordered a spicy margarita…tasted like water. As a starter, we ordered the cheese plate. Arrived looking like a kid tossed some stuff on it…and it was not the cheese selection we ordered. Dinners were decent. The halibut special and a burger. No complaints! Lastly, white dog always has class. People dress. I’ve never seen a place with more sweatpants and backward hats. Get it together Chester springs. This isn’t IHOP.

    The overall experience was good and the reason for that was the staff, which were excellent. Food was good but not excellent. Our main meal came out with lobster undercooked, steak overcooked, with the crab cake addition and sides cold. They did re-fire the entire meal which was more than most would do. Staff was very accommodating with this issue, but it shouldn’t be on them to make us feel like they needed to address the issue by comping a dessert or anything else from what seemed to need to come out of their own pocket. Would try here again, but not during any special days or events.

    First time at this location. Everything was good except the food. Didn’t see the value for the dollar. Probably won’t go back as there are more options in the area.

    Service was great and very attentive! Soup could have been a little hotter. Need to fix the bar so staff don't have to crawl under the counter!!

    I celebrated a birthday brunch there (the Exton location). The location is beautiful absolutely stunning decor & very friendly service. The food was delicious. We were a party of six. There were two omelettes, 2 avocado BLTs, the chicken sandwich and the churros waffles. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious. My only issue with is there was a few mistakes in some of the things we ordered and didn’t get. Nothing was a catastrophe, but it generally speaking may be a little bit more attention to detail by the weight staff to make sure we got what we ordered. My avocado BLT came with home fries, but instead I received truffle french fries.. I think that happened because another person I was dining with had made that switch so they gave it to me as well not a big deal but just a detail. My son ordered an orange juice that he never received. Thankfully, it wasn’t on the bill. Again, not a big deal but a detail missed. Overall would totally come back beautiful place wonderful staff very friendly and it was a great experience.
