While some of the food was exceptional. I really enjoyed my ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and omg the lobster tail! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, it didn’t even need the lemon it came with. My husband had the miso glazed salmon that he is still thinking about how much he loved. We also absolutely loved the scallop starter we had too, and the wine selection was phonominal!
However, the food was the only thing we enjoyed. :/
I had really hoped they’d put us in a quiet romantic spot since we were there for a special occasion (we are on our honeymoon), but sadly we were in the main room with 5 cackling women behind us who were outright wasted; laughing and screaming at each other throughout our whole dinner.
Our server was fine. She just seemed inexperienced, but was nice and prompt enough. She didn’t make any recommendations or tell us anything about the menu without us asking though, which was extremely
disappointing. They focus on local ingredients and it would have been nice to learn about them at the very least… I felt weird when she stood over us staring at me while I paid so I tipped even though I wish I had not.
We would have stayed to enjoy dessert, but like I said those women ruined our evening. I felt they prioritized a “large table” over the rest of us. I had a headache by the end of dinner. Them allowing super loud guests was a shock to me and seriously destroyed the whole experience. We left the moment we saw another round was being delivered to them.
Honestly for the cost, I’d skip this place. The food is not worth the price without exceptional service and atmosphere. There are many better spots to enjoy dinner without a pubby vibe in the area, and for a fraction of the cost.
Honestly the whole thing was way below what we expected for 200+ euro dinner for two, and I think I had very reasonable hopes for the evening.
