This was expensive, but we felt that, for the entire experience, it was worth it.
The food and service were really great and the Wild Kitchen experience - meeting others at your communal table, grilling your food to your desired doneness, the lovely patio - was worth the price.
One comment I have is the two long sides of the table have wildly different views - one side (luckily, we had been assigned to this side!) has a beautiful long view overlooking a reservoir and the setting sun.
The other side looks at, basically, scraped dirt and a dirt pile where they’ve cleared vegetation for the fire safety perimeter.
When you arrive, each place has a stone with the last name of your party on it. I was happy we had been assigned to the “good” side of the table.
During appetizers, which are served out on the patio, someone switched our name stones to the other side.
When I went to sit down and noticed this, I switched them back and was having none of that!
So, this is good to know.
If I were to go back, I would insist our party be on the “good” side, or it wouldn’t be worth it (to me). Some folks might be happy either way.
Obviously, the rest of the experience is great regardless, but I would have felt shorted had I been seated on the non-view side.
It’s a very cool experience - not just a dinner.
Everyone there was in a celebratory mood, which made the whole evening very enjoyable and special.
