    We had a fantastic experience with the host, who had us seated immediately after parking with the valet, which was easy and efficient. Service at our table was sub par and I was actually a bit shocked that our server didn’t box up our left over items for us, rather he dropped off boxes and then walked away. The menu was exciting, however the pastries were dry and clearly not fresh. Great presentation, but lacking quality, which was disappointing for such a high price point. Overall, felt kind of like a Disney experience, which is not what we were looking for.

    The best tea experience in Washington, DC! Service very friendly and top notch. I went for a friend’s birthday and we were greeted with celebratory champagne as soon as we were seated. Willard’s Tea Room expands tea seating just off Peacock Alley. We could still hear the piano and singer.

    I took my mother (local) and my grandmother (visiting from out of town) to The Willard for an afternoon tea on September 29, 2024, and had a SENSATIONAL experience. The experience was beautiful and elegant. We sat in the tea room itself though you can also sit in the grand hall—either is a wonderful time. There was a harpist which provided a nice, though at times distracting backing track to the tea. The service was professional and attentive, and I felt the pacing of the tea was good. We had enough time to choose our teas and the food came out promptly. We didn’t feel rushed and were able to spend almost two hours enjoying great tea, great food, and great company. The stand-out food items for me were the chicken salad and grape bite on an edible pretzel spoon, and the peach and basil scone. So so delicious. I will definitely be bringing folks back to The Willard to enjoy the tea experience again!
