It was New Year's Eve, and we were excited to go to an upscale Palm Springs restaurant for supper to celebrate the New Year. Three women were at the front desk talking with a guest. We stood for a few minutes waiting for one of the three to confirm our reservation. Finally one of them turned to us, took our name, confirmed the res., and asked us to wait. Minutes passed. There were no other diners waiting in the entryway. We were finally taken to our two-top, handed the prix-fixe menu and what we were told was the wine list—it was another dinner menu. We asked for the wine list. Our waiter, Luis was friendly, fast, and efficient. The supper cost $98 per person + 20% service fee. We each ordered filet mignon. By coincidence we'd eaten a wonderful filet mignon the previous night at Sammy G's Grill in Palm Springs, but Willie's featured meat dishes, so we thought we were in for a treat. However both of our servings of filet mignon were fatty and much smaller than what we'd been served the previous night. From being seated in the lobby to paying the bill we spent nearly two hours at Willie's. The wait staff appeared over-worked and understaffed, and the entire experience makes me wonder, is Willie's owned by a faceless corporate overlord who sets ceilings on prices the restaurant manager is allowed to pay for staff and meat?
Willie's已在1天前回覆Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your New Year’s Eve experience. I’m truly sorry to hear that your evening didn’t meet expectations, especially on such a special occasion.
I apologize for the delay at check-in and the mix-up with the menus. While I’m glad to hear Luis provided friendly and efficient service, I regret that the filet mignon didn’t meet your expectations, particularly given the price and occasion.
We take your comments seriously and will be reviewing both the food quality and staffing concerns to help us identify areas for improvement.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. I hope we might have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
