The upgrade of the restaurant can’t come quick enough. Without a doubt my experience at the substitute restaurant was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Gymea Trade Union Club . I will definitely not be returning until the main restaurant re-opens. The menu choices were very limited and certainly not up to par from previous visits . Hoping the Menu is considerably improved when the restaurant reopens.

Awful experience overall. I’ve been to the tradies many times but this was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had and definitely not to the usual standard of the Tradies.

Pretty disappointing to find out at 6. 15pm that there was no Barramundi ,no potatoes and a myriad of other items. Is this a restaurant or a school tuck shop? Not the first time that this has happened. We have a regular meeting in the club on a Wednesday evening and look forward to having dinner prior to the meeting. The quality of the food is good, when it is available!

While there was renovations happening i feel as we should have been advised at booking. Food choice is poor not much options and not great for value. I had my 15 month old with me and really only option for her was chips couldnt even get side of vegies.

Ordered and paid for drinks, half an hour later a waiter came and told us they couldn’t make the cocktails. Then he came back after we said we’d have other drinks and said they could make the cocktails. I said is that going to take another half hour and he said no five minutes. Ok so we order our meals, get our food, still no drinks, steak arrives cold. Send that back, drinks arrive while we're eating our meal! We asked to change sweet potato to chips or mash and they said it would be too confusing for the kitchen to do that! 🤷‍♀️ We will give it another try when the Reno’s are finished.

My only comment is we ordered our meals and then went and bought a drink. By the time we got back to our table the meal was there but we weren’t and the food was getting cold. Give people time to enjoy chatting and catching up with friends and 10 to 15 minutes before their meal arrives after they have ordered.

Didn’t know that the restaurant had changed hands and was under Reno . We ( a group of 6 retirees) usually have the old $20 menu but could not choose that option as it was a Sat . We hope when the new owners take over that we will have the special menu choice back again . Had coffee and cake in the cake as there were only 2 dessert choices on the menu . Thank you Music was a bit loud as well

Even though the restaurant is a temporary one while the new restaurant is remodeled, the food was good and the atmosphere great for a 70th birthday celebration.
